Rancher Federal to be Acquired by SUSE
By Shannon Williams
I’m thrilled to announce that Rancher Federal and Rancher have signed a definitive agreement to be acquired by SUSE. Rancher is the most popular Kubernetes Management platform in the world and has quickly become the choice of US government organizations building secure, scalable solutions on Kubernetes. SUSE is the largest independent open source software company in the world and delivers enterprise-grade Linux to thousands of organizations.
At Rancher Federal, we are focused on helping US Government organizations adopt cloud-native technologies and integrate them securely into their operations. Our team is providing cleared personnel capable of delivering the highest level of support on containers, DevSecOps, Kubernetes, Istio, and Rancher.
SUSE has a strong history of working with the federal government to deliver solutions that meet the most rigorous government requirements for security and scalability. SUSE continuously ensures its SLES Linux distribution meets all of the certification requirements necessary to work in the most secure parts of the US government. In the last year they have rapidly expanded their federal team, and together we are committed to building a world class organization focused on meeting the needs of Government customers.
When this acquisition closes later this year, we will continue our mission as part of the SUSE Federal organization. This will allow us to expand our portfolio of solutions to include Linux, storage, and other open source infrastructure technology. In the meantime, we will be continuing our work on delivering secure implementations of cloud native technology for the US government. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
